Default V-Force reserve and gas requirements

I just sold my Prairie 360 and grabbed the only V-Force to grace my fine town this week. The problem is the dealer couldn't find the owners manual and before I head out I need to know what kind of fuel does it take and is there a reserve tank? I couldn't find a switch for one and I am assuming 91 ocatane gas?

On color: I really wanted the green, but when I found out my dealer didn't know when or if another one would come in I bought the orange. Since that time I have become convinced the belief that "green is faster" is completely wrong. It's clear to me now that the orange is not only faster but performs better all around and just looks sweet!

The green is faster because its KAW colors they use on all racing bikes-dirt and road. As for gas, no reserve. 3.5 gallon tank-12 to 15 miles per gallon. When low fuel light comes on 5 miles left before your dead.

According to the manual... that I just got around to reading... 91 octane is recommended. FYI.

Congrats on the purchase!
I went from a Rancher 350 to the V-Force.... and grinning from ear to ear!

Congrats Skurj !

I can see that the fuel light does not come on at the same point on each quad ??? I ran a 28 mile trail a few weeks
ago .... ( had a P650 along with an odometer ) ....lots of hard running... encluding a number of drag racing runs in the middle... My light came on right at the end of the trail When I got home I was only able to put in 2.4 gallons to fill it. So........ maybe 10 miles left in it.

fellas, check the stats, fuel tank is 2.9-3.2 gal.?? replacement (I ordered) from IMS is 4.0, I am getting after 10 tanks, about 40-45 miles on a tank, when the light comes on, head for gas.

Octang- 87-89 will work fine on this low comp motor. Regular unleaded will be fine. As for fuel tank they dont vary from 2.9-3.2.

Just an FYI.

Always follow your manual for octane ratings on performance machines. Low compression engines actually run better on low octane. I have a Honda VTX 1800 and it's recommended to not run anything over 90 or it won't run right and could cause damage. High octane will cause low compression engines to detonate (ping), which can lead to bent connecting rods and worse.

Your new acquisition is great news! I also brought a new orange one home last weekend. My husband was amazed and pleased. We will be sharing this one along with our Big Bear 400 and our son's Raptor SE. I have only been on an ATV once, but ride a full size Harley (old shovelhead), so would appreciate any riding tips from all of you out there.

Enjoy!
