Bad News in Clutch Department!!
#1
I opened up my clutch today to put in new Barnett HD springs because my clutch was slipping. When I took it all apart one of the clutch plates fell into the oil bucket. It was shattered into like 8 pieces. All of the other plates were burnt up as well. I took out all of the plates and I had broken half of one of the teeth things on the basket and the boss was pretty grooved up, as well. F*CK!
I guess it is time for a Hinson basket and GYTR plates to go with the Barnett springs. I guess I will have to get a new clutch boss as well. Do any of you guys know who makes these? How much? If the boss is around $150 (I'm guessing), $225 for the basket, and $80-$100 for the GYTR plates, I'm looking at almost $400 just in the damn clutch! Am I doing the right things? What would you guys do if you were in my shoes? Thanks for any info you can provide.

Also, what kind of antifreeze do you guys use? I have heard engine ice is good. Your advice is appreciated.

After I fried my barnett plates on my shee, I got trinity. Im not to sure if they make them for the Rappy, but I LOVE mine. They NEVER EVER slip ever. But they were 150 bucks, but I had to go with the best.
