I found a used 500i and it has 28" OutLaws. He says its in great condition, but I don't know the miles yet. What would be low to avg. miles for an 02? What would be a great price for me? He is asking $5200, but wants to get rid of it fast. Also I can get good deals on new Hondas and Yamahas so I need a great price.

I would say 500 miles would be low to average. The price is high, his fancy tires wont bring him any extra cash at a dealer. By the way I know of a dealer in Minnesota ( a long way from your home obviously) the had Brand new hold over 02 500 cats for $4895

 

I would have to agree with shooter29, it seems kinda high. My dealer would not even give me anything close to payoff on trade, and I have been making double payments the whole time(I think they quoted me about $3400 or so on trade) I kinda think that about $4500 would be "fair" Or at least I like to think that my cat is worth at least that much.

I agree, $4500 would be an average price. Anything over that isnt worth taking the chance on a used one. I wouldn't buy it for that. I wouldn't buy it for $4000. The thing about a used one is you have no idea how it was treated before.

I get alot better %rate if I buy a new one. The payments come out about the same.

 

Yeah, I think I am going new. I can get new Grizz or SP 700 for $6000 out the door and the Rincon for $6400 out the door.
