How accurate are ATV speedos?

I am going to have a factory speedo put on my Xplorer i assume it is generally accurate to a point? and will give a fairly good idea of miles gone and all that? or am i wasting my cash?

How much will a spedo cost for an Xplorer? I'm thinking about putting one on mine also.

You are not wasting your money. One on the reason I chose the Rancher is because of its speedo.

Its nice to know how far you have been, especially when it comes to figuring your gas consumption!

They are accurate enough for ATV's. It gives you a good idea on miles traveled and helps you on your timing of your maintanence schedule. I really don't care how fast I'm going,but I do care how far I've traveled.

Yeah that is why i want one to know when to turn back or add more gas. 125 for the speedo.
