Release the pressure off the springs by lifting the quad off the ground. Take the spanner wrench and place it on the adjusting collar and pull very hard. You may even try a little WD40 to clean out around and underneath the adjustment notches.

I adjusted mine up and didnt like it at all, Moved it back down to lowest setting, and still wish it was softer.

i have mine set on the 2nd stiffest but i weigh 215lbs too,it might ride a little stiff but it also pushes the tires down more giveing you better traction when in the mud or when your climbing a hill and you need all the power to the ground that you can get. i found it a little stiff at first but now i love it because it dosent seem to roll in the corners as much and i find it handles better also. if i were you i would go to the local ride area and try them on each setting and see whats best for you give each setting ten or fifteen mins each you'll figure it out.
