I'm wondering if ACs new sport quad is gonna be competitive? It should be if its anything like their Snowmobiles. When is it supposed to be unveiled? Opinions? I'll be happy as long as its not a repackaged Z400.

 

i know one thing.. your not happy. its a z400 with diff plastic!

 

Warrior is right, it does have the z400 engine with different plastic. I couldn't tell what color the plastic was, when I was looking at the dealer invitation. The new 650 should be quite the workhorse though.

The new 650 Cat has the Prarie 650 motor from Kawasaki in it. That is all I know about it I didn't pry into my DSM about all the facts on the new machine. It is a utility model also not a sport quad. Another thing to keep in mind is A/C has seven new models for 04. The 400 sport quad and the 650 utility are two of them, that leaves five more models to be released. They also claim fourteen new product enhancements on their machines for 04 (stronger axles are probably one of the improvements).

 

The sport quad is going to come in a couple different colors- one being cat green, and from what I have heard you are going to be able to swap fenders really easily so for example you can have a set for racing and a set for trail riding. The 650 is going to be quite a bike from the specs I have seen and there are a few more impprovements to the others- technology wise mostly and some styleing....

 

The sport quad will come in red, cat green, and black.
