Is the 300 arctic cat 4x4 a good machine? i mostly want to mud, ride trails, and haul a litte trailer full of wood.

 

don't buy the artic-cat ! i have a 2001 250 and i'm very disapointed
i've had carb problems and the gas tank cracked around the threads
my father and brother have the same model and they have the same
problems. artic-cat and the dealers dont care . nothing makes you
more angry than to watch your 4 wheeler set ,and your friends are
off riding theirs buy anything except a cat. its not worth the headache

 

i dont konw about YOU but i think arctic cat is a good atv and my dealer is just as good. i've never had a problem with my dealer and the few problems i had with my cat thay fixed without any questions. the warenty is 3 years all parts and labour [except normal matinance] i cant speek for the 300 but the 500 is an awsome riden i love my cat, and i cant wait for the new ones to come out just to see what the new 650 is gonna look like.and if its 4x4 i might get another one.i dont think any other atv comes with a 3 year factory warenty but i could be wrong. ARCTIC CAT all the way.

 

I bought a 2000 300 X 4, & have never had a single problem.

 

Before I bought my '03 AC 400i I always borrowed by Grandfather's '01 AC 300 fully independant quad and I punished it severely in mud, brush, etc.. jumping and it just kept on running no problems. That particular model had 3 gear ranges and 4 wheel drive, winch & brush guard (good things to have). That quad is one of the reasons I bought a CAT as well.

 

Actually no other ATV manufacturer besides Bomb has a three year warranty, not even Cat. You may have gotten the warranty thrown in for free and been told it comes that way because of a special promotion but thats not common practice. Thats what the Bomb warranty is, just the extended warranty thrown in for free but they do it on all their quads all the time.

Anyways, I do think Arctic Cat makes a solid quad like any other manufacturer. Some people get lemons and crappy dealers. The 300 4x4 is a solid quad thats been around since the dawn of 4-wheelers, not in Arctic Cat trim but in Suzuki trim. Same thing essentially, the 300 4x4 is now gone from Suzuki's line up I believe.

 

if you look in any atv mag and see the arctic cat adds thay all say 3 years warrenty or free winch if thats not cats warrenty why do they say that.

 

Mudblaster, are you sure that it wasn't 3.9% financing for 3 years. I sell the A/C atv's and have never heard of them giving a three year warranty on the machine.

 

A 6 month warranty is guarnteed on every quad. A 3 year warranty is not. You either pick the winch or the warranty. With bomb its a 3 year guarnteed warranty, no option to pick it, its given to you. Its just factory incentives though, I got my 3 year warranty on my P650 with a winch but that was thrown into the deal. Alot of dealerships will do that. Only bomb has the 3 year guarnteed warranty, all others are optional.

 

bbertram on all the 03 models you have a choice, a 2500lbs winch or a 3 year warranty . If you want both winch and 3 year warranty, they charge you $600.00 cdn.
