Default 98 Cat.

My wifes uncle has a 98 400 cat std. We were out this weekend and he noticed my fan override switch and asked what it was for so I told him. He notices the same thing with his but his is liquid cooled (the fan hardly ever comes on) So he wants to put a switch on his but we couldnt find the sensor for it. We saw something that we thought was it but it only has 1 wire coming out of it (sitting on the machine it is on the left side of the machine). Can someone tell me where this sensor is or if we were looking at the right thing how do you hook a switch to it. Thanks in advance.

Not to sure doob... Should be the same place as the 98 500. Bottom left hand corner of the rad (sitting on the machine) The sensor is there... only one wire on it? I have the 98 400 service manual. I can take a more detailed look when i get home from work.
