Default Wont idle when hot

Got a 2000 500 with 1400 miles.Works great for little while but once it gets hot it wont idle.It will idle rough then quit. And is very hard to start.Tried idle scew and cleaned carb.Asked my dealer about valves being adjusted and he said he has never had to do it before but yet lots of guys talk about it on this forum. How do you know if they need to be?

This may be a dumb question, but have you check for spark, when this happens?
If there is plenty of spark, nice blue. Fresh Plug? Good compression?

Is there Fuel? Does it actually run out of Gas? Bowl empting? Clogged fuel line?

There are lots of things to check, these are only some...

Check to see what your fuel screw is set at. You may be able to turn it to 1 or 1 /2 turns out. Just a thought.
