no power

Default no power

I just got 400mrp does not seem to have any power . Around the farm seems to do fine but went trail riding an the bike would not get out of its own way .Is this the automatic ? also i got 79 miles on it and on my third tank of gas. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]

the gas mileage seems right, that will get better. The power seems like maybe something i would have your dealer look at. Check you air filter, if you are doing farm work maybe it got dirty. If it is clean it. Also, you will see an increase in power after about 180-200 miles (at least I did). Someone else may be able to help more but I know that if the air filter is dirty is will feel like you are driving a garden tractor. Best I can do.

id say put another 100 miles on it......if it is the same take it in to the dealer, it should gain more power tho, u prolly just gotta let it break in more

DON,Twait bring it in let them play with it thats why you got warranty do you get loss of power when hot only or from start to finish

after it gets warm . I had the bike in to dealer they took it for a ride on some trails said it was ok. YA RIGHT! Its at a different dealer now seem to have broken some sort of diode. Got the bike 4/19 been in the shop six weeks. now was told today i will not have the bike for the long weekend.

What elevation do you live/ride at? My 2003 400i responded very well to dropping the jet size and turning the fuel screw in. The mileage will improve as the engine breaks in.

took it out this weekend add another 70 miles bike it alot better still seem to spit&sputter but keeps grtting up. got it up to about 37/38 mph i'm starting to like what is starting to happen.Little bit happier

Roscoe, jet that machine down put a 145 or a 142 main jet in and set the fuel screw at 1 1/2 turn out. What altitude do you ride at? Your fuel mileage will get way better after you jet it down. Check to see what your spark plug looks like (color). This should also cure the sputtering proplem.
