Default Rear Brake problem

I was out yesterday and lost my brakes and fluid? I limped it to a gas station put some fluid in, and started to look for a leak, didn't see any. Bled the system just in case, started home with no brakes, they came on after a couple of quick stops then gone again?
Got home and had someone pull on the handle while I looked.......... saw fluid coming out of between the pads in calliper???????????? Today I took it apart and to my surprise the rear brake pads are gone all that is left is metal plates one of them has been worn to all most zipo.
Ok so question is
Would the calliper be ok. Is it safe to assume that it was pushed out so fare as to allow fluid by? And all I need are the pads?

I had the same prob.As long as the piston isn't damaged you should be fine just replacing the pads.Make sure you check the front pads as they may need replacing as well.

Ya I hope so. thanks for your reply. I went to my dealer and ordered the pads. Do you know what they are going for............$19.00 Canadian per pad. what do my US friends pay? That would be $40.00 x 3, gst,pst......HOLY HANNA. Hoping to be on the trails by this weekend.
Was out by my self so I am the only witness, and hit a small pile on stone, popped it up and did a nice cat walk. Thats with a 03 400i. I didn't know it would do it, I was holding on because it was so unexpected. But I went back and did it again, & again & again................
Thanks for your help and I will let you know if it works out

The same thing happened to mine. Is it safe to put Dot 3 in it instead of Dot 4 ?
