I just got back from the Montana Rocky Mountains where our new TRV (500i) hauled the wife and I to the summit of 10,000 foot mountains with power still to spare. These trails are the most rugged and aggressive riding I've found anywhere. 40 degree streams rushed over the tires and we rode over rocks as big as basketballs, we had to climb over logs across the trails and descended steep banks requiring locked up brakes to skid down- the AC did better then the Polaris 500HO did two years ago, better ground clearance and noticeably more power at the higher altitudes. I have a choice of what quad I choose to ride through the grizzly bear inhabited area and the AC would be my choice again.

Personally I don't give a hoot what some TVboob might say about the AC - Thats their disfunction - not mine.

PS - after the neighbor Polaris700 campers scoffed at my leather 30-30 rifle mount on the AC quad, they flagged me down as I went past them again later to tell about the bear and cub that went through their camp, destroyed their tent and tore open every cooler leaving them without food or beer. lol..... You can't shoot the bears but they hate the noise...

Can you show a picture on how you mounted your scabbard? I hate those flippen handle bar mounts.

 

Unless the company sponsors their show (ie. Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki) then they will thrash the machine. The guy went on for like 10 minutes on the Honda's transmission alone. What a brand loyalist host!!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img] I can't wait to see what they say about the new AC sport quad, which is basicly one of their BELOVED Z400's with different plastic. Their is a show called ATV Sport (I believe) that seems to be fairly unbiased. ATV TV is a joke!!!

 

What channel,day, and time is this ATV Sport on?

Okay lets not get mad, because a tv show is talking bad about the Artic Cat. Really Artic Cat sucks no matter if the sponsor the show or not. they just suck. So get a Honda and then you got an atv. BEST ON EARTH.

Honda is a joke. My dad bought a Honda Rubicon, It has drum brakes that went out of style in the 70's, no suspension adjustment, they can't even put a brake light on it yet the machine cost more. Sure you can go out and buy aftermarket upgrades that make it current with other rides. You pay for the name and get little. I used to have respect for Honda, now I relize they are just a big name, big money company that is thinking of themselves. Do business with the smaller guy that's believes in his product and is willing to make sure you are happy.

Have you ever ridden a Arctic Cat ATV? Have you even seen a cat ATV other than in pictures?
I agree with oldcrow, Honda is known for their dependability, Well if you don't come out with anything new and use the same old frame and drive train they should have it right by now. Some don't want to stay with "old reliable" Some of us want to explore and take new paths.

 

Hey 2003650 what didn't they like about the 4x4 shift level. I think its an excellent setup no electronic gadgets to short out down the road.
