The new cat is breaking in nicely I should say except after about a 30 mile mountain ride last weekend I cant get him to shift while the engine in running. Talked to the dealer and he asked if it was idling fast and i said yes. He says that idling to fast causes the clutch to partially ingage and doesnt allow the transmission to be shifted. That makes since. I tried to adjust the idle down but it didnt matter which way I tried to adjust it, it still idled at the same fast speed. The choke is off, but if i choke it down where it is idling slower it will shift. Sounds to me like the choke is stuck partially on. What do you guys think, and how to fix it. Hurry please!!

 

i think its your idling adjuster........when i turned mine it did nothing but then i took off the carb and noticed that the cable had snapped and all i was turing was the cable, inside the casing
