2002 Arctic Cat 300 2x4 or 2002 Honda 350 2x4
Well i dont know much about the cat 300 but i can tell you plenty about the honda rancher i own one and pound for pound theres no tougher quad on the planet. mine is a 4x4 its plenty tough i m often the smallest 4x4 on the trail and i often have the least amount of trouble another thing i dont like the engine mount on the 300 ac it looks to me like it would make the front end to light. and hondas do have a repitation for lasting. i know too may rancher is pretty fast on the open territory so i dont have trouble keepin up with bigger quads i can actually go faster than some!!! if I could get the rancher at the price you said id get it you wont be sorry!!!

Considering the price and previous owner status of both, manufacturer is practically irrelevant. Go with the one won at the raffle!
ATV 1: Won new at a raffle. Original owner. Drove around yard once a month.
ATV 2: Repoed. Previous owner(s) unknown. Care unknown. Sold by a business that bought from a business (auction) - too many middlemen and markups and possibility for deceit.
Heck, even if it were a Polaris I'd buy it!
In addition, I'm not 100% sure, but I think that you can easily make the Cat into a 4x4 by adding a lever to switch between the 2 modes.
