Skid Plate problems
#1
I had an interesting thing happen to my '97 454 the other day while riding. I ran over a rock that caused the skid plate to de-form under the engine case and completely crash the rear tubular cross member. Any suggestions about repairing said cross member? How about the skid plate itself, can it be replaced with a more rigid one? If so where can it be purchased? Thanks in advance.

as for crossmember, not sure....
The skidplate is easy to fix, take it off and either steal an roadsign and just cut a new one out, i bought a peice of .68 Diamondplate at LOWES for about 100.00 US and It is very very strong, but it will not slide very well, but thats ok because is looks awsome.
