I'm new here guys, and I must say this is a very nice forum! I got mad at Highlifters forum, because it was not working tonight, and i decided to come check things out over here. Don't let my forum name confuse you, that name is old, back when I was REALLY wasting my money!!! But now I am addicted to spending money on ATV's that break in the mud and not on 50ft. table tops! Oops i got a little off topic there but here is my situation: I have a 2003 Arctic Cat 500I manual, what I am trying to accomplish is a clutch kit for this bike, like the Honda atvs. I have looked at EPI's website and they only offer a clutch kit for the Automatic 500I. Now if I were somehow able to get my hands on a couple of the small springs that go on the internal oil bathed clutches, would they work like the Honda clutch kit? What I am after is that stall effect, so the motor can get in the power band further before the tires begin to turn. Do you guys think this will work? Lemme know what ya think.

 

i must say i have never hurd of this and i dont know how you are going to come up with anything because i dought if anybody makes something for this application.

 

zuki, i have heard of this working. The old service manager (bob) at Wild Rivers Road and Trail in Minong WI. did it to a 400 manual (2000 or 01). You can give them a call (715) 635-5299 and talk to john. mabey he can get ahold of bob for you. let me know if it works cause i would like to try it to mine.
