Tooleman,
Your father's A.C650 is two years old? Maybe, he got the prototype version of the AC650, but it doesn't make a year it is out? The 650's mechanical components are totally different then conventional AC. The Honda Rincon can't be compared to the AC for ground clearance like he wants, it's more expensive, still has drum brakes only a disque in the back vs AC equiped with all disque brakes, ground clearence (10'' for the Honda and 13'' for the AC), fuel tank (Honda 4.75 gallons vs 6.5 gallons for the AC), much more Hi-tech engine for the AC (Rincon is equiped with a single cylinder cam in block and push rods engine which is technology of the 1970's for the ATV vs AC with a dual cylinder over head cam engine similar to the expensive italian Ducati motorcycle engines), the transmission on Honda can't be modified and is much more expensive to fix (you have to change the whole transmission for any trans problem which costs a minimum of 1500$) vs the AC transmission which is not very expensive to maintain or change belt. For reliability of the 21st century (Honda was King of reliability in the 20th century we have to give them that, but we are talking of ATVs of the 21st), The Honda dealer here (which is also my Kawasaki dealer) changed three Honda automatic transmission. Two for the new Rincon 650 which were garantee, and one on a Rancher 400 which wasn't guarantee. How much? 3000CAN$ for the new Transmission and installation. And, I know you can compare the reliability of the new AC650 and Rincon to the Polaris(who finished lasted in the reliability reports for the last few years even if they improved with the years).

I agree with LittleBoy. Three of our friends have Honda Rincons and their machines have spent more time in the shop then on the trails and they're not even a year old yet!! They've replaced water pumps, cv joints, brakes, radiators. And all of the bolts fell out of one of them. They have doggy transmissions and just can't keep up with the Cat!!

Don't be a "tool" tooleman, do you honestly think we would believe you??? You are in the Arctic Cat room, you say stuff like that you are going to be proven wrong. I bet your dad doesn't even have an Arctic Cat. Post a picture of it. I am calling your bluff. Also, post a picture of you quad with 2500 miles on it.
