Default question about gear indicator light

does 03 or 04 models of the 250 or 300 4x4 have indicator lights. my wife wants her own atv but does not want one as large as our 400. she likes the size of the 250 or 300 but would prefer an auto. thats not available, she may be comfortable with a manual if it has gear indicator lights. got our 400 in spring of this year and have logged 1400 miles (always with 2-up) and have had no (0) problems. i have only re-jetted, thanks to this forum, power and gas milage improved. great machines. wish they offered the 250 or 300 in auto

Thanks for any input

Default question about gear indicator light

The 03 300 DOES have the gear indication lights. She will actually like the rocker shifter too after using it. It also helps that there is an automatic clutch too.

Good luck

Default question about gear indicator light

There really is no difference in physical size of the 400 vs. 250/300 except tire size and a little wider with the belt housing. the plastic, seat, tank and most other items are the same. I would say if she really likes the auto it would be safer to get her an auto.

As far as the indicator lights, the 300 4X4 has them but the 250 does not. They can be added see: http://forums.atvconnection.com/mess...ighlight_key=y

Hope this helps.
