Default Dealership woes continue. help needed

when i bought my atv i ordered a new snowmobile as well. after my dealership screwed me (more then once i might add) i told them that i had no intentions of picking up the sled. along with the sled i ordered a helmet and a jacket. i lost my $300 deposit along with $500 for not buying the sled (they gave me that much more extra for trade in on my old sled for buying both an atv and a sled). I have no problem paying that but where the situation comes in is with the accesories. The dealership said that they will put the helmet and jacket on the shelf until the end of the season and then after that I must come and pick them up for normal price. What I am wondering is am i under any obligation to do this? I have tried to work with them such as: pay cost for them, or give them $300 and they can keep them (instead of paying the $300 for the helmet and $250 for the jacket and having no use for them), but they insist that they want them gone for the msrp price. They won't even give the normal 10% discount that they give when buying accesories with the machine. I am also wondering if anyone knows what the dealerships pay for a helmet and for a jacket. How much do they mark them up? I live next door to them so it isn't like i can just not go get them either. They don't seem to mind having the sled on the floor since they will be one of the only dealerships with a preorder package available, but the helmet and jacket are a really big deal (so they say)! help, any info is appreciated.

yeah, like one helmet and one jacket are gonna bankrupt them! wow what dinks!
just ignore em. I'd go buy a different brand and make sure they see it as often as possible! hehe

there's a section in our local newspaper where you can write in and tell how youve been treated, good and bad, if you had that you could make em sit up and take notice!

I dont think youre under any obligation unless you signed a contract. then again, I'm not a real lawyer, I just play one on the internet..

i didn't get the sled because i purchased a house a week after i ordered it (very unexpected) and because of all the problems they gave me with my quad. The mechanic told me that he didn't want to see it anymore and to take it somewhere else, so i did and i told them that i will buy my next sled somewhere else too. the dealer is ( told them that i would edit this so there name wouldn't be used anymore)LOL!. it really sucks that it had to come to this because i live right next door! known them all my life, even called 911 for then 3 years ago when i saw smoke coming from there building and if i hadn't they wouldn't be in business anymore!! and they still treat me like crap!

YOU KNOW IF YOUR DEALER WOULD CARE ABOUT YOUR INTEREST they would be more considerate but it doesn,t seem like it, so tell them to go f--- off and go break one of there windows with a brick from your other neighbors yard it,ll make you feel better, just kidding about the brick, not really

It sounds as though a direct complaint to Arctic Cat is in store. They don't want their dealerships telling people to take their machines somewhere else to have them serviced. Especially with the tone it was said to you. Their mechanics should be trained techs and know the product. If not, they have no business selling the machines.

I'm with LEP7MM call arctic cat head office and tell them what a crappy dealer they have representing their product! I'm sure they'll bend over back wards after that, those dealers hate shat from the top just make sure you get a name from who ever is taking the call cause if they seem like they want to help but don't you can screw them to, just be prepared for a battle! F-em all!!

Have you complained in writing to:

The Dealer.
Better Business Bureau.
Arctic Cat HQ
State Attorney General Consumer Affairs.
Any and all local, county and city, consumer protection agencies
All dealers must be licensed. Get the address of the licensing agency.

Your letters to BBB, Arctic Cat, and the State AG, etc. must include a copy of your written complaint to the dealer.
Complaining over the phone, without following up in writing, is a waste of time... If there is no written record, the complaint doesn't exist.

When you complain to Arctic Cat and the dealer, include in the letter that you are complaining in writing to the BBB, State AG, etc.

After you have sent letters to everybody you can think of, if it is not resolved to your satisfaction, repeat.
Make sure you have a position. State what you want to make yourself whole.

Remember, it's the squeaky wheel that gets greased.
