You should be able to run 27's with no Problemo. You may experience a slight power loss with the larger rubber but I don't think you will be disappointed with the added clearance and traction.

I have a 2003 500 auto with 26 inch mud bugs . So far ive gone through 1 balljoint and two rear wheel bearings after 1500 miles .My dealership blames it on the tires ,it may be the rough trails i ride but this beast should take it even with 27,s. . . Other mods big gun pipe ,jet kit ,custom front and rear bumpers, homade coolent overflow tank, should of had from the factory, custom plow

the mud lites are a sweet tire but if you stay with the stock size you wont get the deep lugs.
you need to go with at least 26" tall to get the deep lugs.
and the mud lites are lighter then the itp or gators or any other tire for that matter.
so they say .
i think my next set of tires will be the mud lites.
but untill my gators go bald im sticking with them.
i love my gators.
i've put 1600 miles on them so far and they have barly worn at all.
im very happy with my tires but i think they are a little heavy.
but the cat dont seem to mind.

Default Replacing tires on my Artic cat Question

Hello,

Well i got the 27s Mud-Lites , my first thought WOW this babies are kinda big , i put them on and rode around the yard alittle , the power lost on the lowend is very low , this 454 is geared kinda low even in high range , top end it did increase the top end which i like . i will ride it some more on Friday as iam going bow hunting this weekend . i did weigh the tires before i switched them out here's the weight on stock tires and the 27s , i used a hansen scale stock front tire weigh 25lbs. front 27 inch Mud-lites weigh 39 lbs, stock rear tire weighs 30 lbs. 27 inch Mud-lites rear weigh 41 lbs. here is a photoalbum of my cat .
Thanks again for the replies

So, are they at all close to rubbing any where on your bike?
