I just bought a set of running lights to put on the front of my 2000 ac 400 4x4 . both the axil plug and the lights are rated at 15 amps. do you think this will be ok

You already mounted the lights? NOW you wonder if it's o.k.?

Forgedaboudid! Fear not! Give it the "smoke test!"

I assume your auxiliary outlet is properly fused; if not, you may blow your 30 amp main fuse if things go dreadfully wrong. Until that happens, don't worry! Be happy!

that seems awful big. I had 4 150 watt KC's on my old truck and they pulled around 12.5 amps each. Are you serious about 15 because I wouldn't think an atv battery would do much with that. I could be totally off here, but that seems rather high to me.

The Ac literature shows alternator output at 25 amps. If I remember correctly amps can be found by dividing voltage by watts. This would confirm what Andy mentioned about the current draw on the KC lights. That would put the bulb wattage at around 85 per bulb assumming that the 15 amp rating was for both.
