My local dealer is giving a very large discount on the 2003 Artic Cat 400 and 500 and I am wondering what the differences are between the 03 and 04? I heard that they made quite a few improvements in the 04. Is it enought for a $700-800 difference?

I was debating the same question about 2 months ago. I ended up with the 04. I still think it was the right choice

 

I think you are right. If I go for the AC, I will probably get the 04.

 

I went with the 03. I got the 500i auto for just a little over $5700. The 04 would have run close to $6200. To me the digital dash and reciever hitch were not a big thing. I really love my Kitty Cat. Took it out in the snow the other weekend and nothing could stop it. Climbed right up snowbanks!!!

 

I was at a dealer over the weekend and he was selling his '03 500 auto MRP for $5100.
