Default DVX Ground clearence

I want to get a dvx next (1-2 years) and on the site is says that there is like 9 or 10 inches of ground clrearence. I went to my local dealer of artic cat (Gander Mountian) and it didnt look more then 6 or 7 inches. I was wondering where do they measure gc? thanks much

Was that ground clearance or suspension travel?

Ground clearance is probably closer to 4" while suspension travel is probly around 9"

Check the specs at arcticcat.com

if it says Ground Clearance = 10.6 inches or somethin, thats measure at the front of the frame where the a-arms come off of. that is not the ground clearance from the rear sprocket case to the ground.

ground clearence is measured at the center on the frame under the engine.

If youre planning on woods riding or enduro save it to say that ground clearance is not enough basically. Beisides all the different color fenders for the fender change trick in the fact accy catalog they have some really nice alloy skids for front & rear arms and frame - not a bad investment if you really hammer your machine. I still have the frame crack problem from the Zooks in the back of my head and have checked the DVX out carefully every ride so far. I haven't broken it in half yet but I'm trying!
