After what seems like an eternity at work with no time off, I finally was able to take a couple days and head up to our property with the 'Cats. Originally planned to stay from friday-tuesday night, but got called back to work early. Oh well, the last couple days was great anyway. Took my new girlfriend up with me to see what she thought about them. We put about 77 miles on the 'Cats over the last two days, which was great. She actually loved it, so that made it even better.

After some night time riding with my cousin, I must say some accessory lighting is definately needed. It seems we were heading through one of our upper meadows at about 25-30 mph, when my cousin hit something, stopped for second, then turned around and came flying right back to where I was at. He had been cruising through the meadow and wound up hitting a big black brahma bull. It was after midnight and pitch black out, and since my other cousin was forced to shoot a bear earlier that morning, he was afraid he had just hit a bear. He knew I had a couple guns on, so he came flying back to me in case the "bear" was chasing him. Keep in mind now this is a grown 30 year old guy scared to death he just ran over a large black bear. Well, I couldn't figure out how he could have hit a bear, so I went over to investigate, and found a rather dazed black brahma bull with one hell of a headache. Quite possibly the funniest thing I've seen in a long time.

Well, the bull may have had a bad headache, but the 'Cat was a little shook up as well. Once again, the handle bars were laying flat on the gas tank, and terribly loose. I must say AC did us a favor by including the little tool kit with their bikes. It had everything needed to remedy this minor problem out in the middle of an 80 acre meadow at about 12:30-1:00 in the morning. I must say it was rather interesting tearing apart the instrument cluster, ignition, and speedo to get to the handle bar bolts. Everything was going good till I dropped the little black nut for the ignition into the steering column. That made for a real pain in the butt at 1:00 in the morning. Had to pull off the side panel, pull the gas tank out, and dig around in the steering column but finally managed to find that darned nut to get the ignition to work again. All in all very interesting job to be doing that early in the morning in complete darkness by AC headlights and flashlight.

Well, sorry about the length, but thought I'd share a new interpretation to the old game of "cow tipping". Just make sure you've got the proper lighting and tools with you to fix any "unforseen" problems that may arise.

Hope y'all had/have a great holiday weekend and definately had as much fun as I did on your machines.

Mike
