$69 winch deal
#4
The winch deals are done through AC. If the bike was ordered in with the winch package the dealer already got his credit. He then simply installs the winch for the price. If the bike was shipped after June 1 there would be no deal. In Canada the dealer rec'd a $200 credit towards the winch package from AC the dealer then matached that dollar value with his money and installed for free and the deal works. In Canada the deal was $99 installed. I got my best price by asking the dealer for the credit on the machine.

Congrat's on your new 'Cat purchase, I'm sure you'll be thrilled with it. As far as I'm concerned, it's a great machine. Goes everywhere I've asked her to go, and has done everything I've wanted to do-so far that is.
How'd you fare with the winch deal? Hope they were able to get you one. Out here in Washington and Oregon, the deal ended June 1st, but my dealer said that if a person asked for the deal and bought a machine that was delivered before that deadline date, he'd honor it.
Anyhow, good luck with yours, I think the winch is the best investment you can make for a quad. Mine has definately paid for itself many times over.

I test drove that 500 auto not impressed at all that governor on the reverse is lame. The belt drive is no match up against the new Honda 500 Rubicon. The dealer said the belts are too expensive and you will have to replace it at least once a year if you drive at least a 1000 miles per season perhaps more often if you are in water conditions. The manual shift 500 is a better choice out of the two, no belt, plus they have the the electric shift kit now for the 500 manual that is pretty sweet. Ive been on them all and so far the Rubicon has a better drive train system and more going for it.

Got the ac auto, seems like a fine machine so far!
The dealer i bought my unit from would not honor the winch deal, he said it had expired .
I don't feel to bad though, i ended up getting my 2000/ 500 auto for $5500 us. that may be why he wouldn't honor the winch deal.
Thanks!!!
