Same size tires all around...

I was thinking about putting rear tires on all four. I don't like the way on almost all front tires, the tread tapers off to the edges. I realizr there are probably doing that for handling, but I'd rather have a uniform tread all the way across. I have a 2000 AC 500A, any recomendations would be appreciated. I want the rear track the same width as the front track. Could that be accomplished by changing the wheels out. The only tire I know of with a consistant tread depth all the way across is the ITP 589 (on front and rear). Thanks, Rob

some people claim that running the same size tires is better but i disagree. the front wheels are offset i think so that stance is equal front and back. the way that i look at it is you want your back tires to have a little bit of untouched surface so they can grip also, otherwise you could find them just sinking in the rut created by your front tires.

i dont think its a very good idea to go with the same on the front as the back.
i have 10" wide tires on the front and it steers hard enuff with them if i went any wider it would steer like a tank.
also bigger wider tires ware out parts faster.eg(balljoints bushings lower controll arms. all that stuff lasts about half as long with bigger tires then with stock size.
the next set of tires i get are gonna be 26 x12x12s on the back and 26x12x10s on the front.
also gator tires have a nice agressive tread that covers part of the sidewall so you can steer your way out of ruts if you need to.
there a sweet tire thay havent let me down yet.
but because there so big there hard on parts.
same tire less hight and thay would be great.
less worn out parts anyways.
