As far as I can tell, the listed sizes are pretty much arbitrarily arrived at without due thought to the consequences of misinformation being unduly considered by an unwary consumer. Consequently, one must give careful consideration as to the actual size desired in contrast to the actual size listed, and make an informed if only partly muddled decision as to the relevance of expenditure vs. resulting tire diameter under various degrees of inflation.
