AC 650 auto, bypass to run with blown ign fuse
#1
The scenario;
Riding in a very remote area, go through a small draw, the quad quits, no dash, no power to start, winch does not work. Lights work, fan works. Of course, the ignition fuse is blown. I replace the fuse, turn on the key, and snap, out goes the fuse again. I know the older cats would start with the rope when this happens, but not with the 650. Has cat built in a way to do this with the 650? or do I have to rig up some type of short to the coil. Let me tell you, I was not happy being towed out of there for the second time in 4 rides on the new quad.
Why did the fuse blow? I have no idea, but it's sitting at the dealer now, I'll keep you posted.

Mine did the same thing the first day I rode it. The brake light wire from the brake lever was routed between the handlebars and the clamps instead of around them. After a few hours the bars/clamps rubbed through the insulation and it grounded out and blew the ignition fuse. Check all your wires.
