Default Todays ride

Well me and a few buddies went for a ride today. We decided to go along the local hydro lines, about 90km of trails. The ol cat 300 made it through 5 of 6 mud holes and guess who only made it through 4 or 6, haha my buddies polaris 700. That made a good laugh after lol. We found a track while riding and went for a ride on there. Pretty neat to ride on them, the corners are all angled up. I came up to this one hill (really a jump) and i had speed and the way i go off but the nose dropped and i went right up on the hadle bars. Scared me to death and winded me for a bit. Then on the way back we were clipping along and i cut the turn a bit to sharp and i hit a ock on the side of the trail. Right over the hadle bars i went, that hurt. But pver all 180km in 10 hours was a goood ride.

CatsRule; you're lucky. My boot protectors came yesterday along with some inner fender panels. Went down to install them and the panels went on slam dunk. Installed the right rear protector easy as can be, pulled the right rear wheel and tire and outer boot is torn. Called the dealer and he had them in stock but I couldn't get there before they closed so I'm stuck till tuesday, then it started really raining bout 7PM. Looks like a sucky weekend for me.

CatsRule; I looked the manual over and having been a professional mechanic for 40 years, plus a hot rodder and racer I figure it's a pretty straight forward repair job. Tuesday is suppose to be fairly nice, so should get to ride and the boot protectors should cut down on the torn boots from now on.

Well, I would have had the boot on tuesday afternoon(monday as the doctor in Seattle, second surgery July 14), but one of the clamps was wrong in the kit. Suppose to be a 73.5mm and was a 78mm clamp. Back to the dealer again today( that's70 miles round trip and the next one is 90 miles), they found one in the shop and swapped me, 20 minutes after I got home was test riding. Now I have boot protectors, good boots and front inner fender panels to keep me drier and less muddy.

So its all fixed and ready to go! Ya my cat dealer is about a 30 min drive from my house. My town is about 35000 people and we dont have 1 snowmobile or atv dealer, its brutal.

CatsRule; I live in a town, unincorperated, with 750 year around residents. During the summer we have 4 times that many. We have a store, a bar, the marina, a stop and rob and of course the Alderbrook Resort and Spa(very upscale). The county seat is 11 mile away and has 10,000 people, one motorcycle shop, no atvs though. The state capitol, Olympia is where everything is and that is 35 miles from here and the other two places are both 45 miles in different directions. But then again I choose to live here with Puget Sound's Hood Canal and the snow capped Olympic Mountains out my front windows. Guess I should shut up, Huh?
