Default cut on tire

I have Carlisle Badlands XTR's on my 2004 500 Cat. I noticed the front tire has a 3" cut running along the width of the tire between the lugs. It appears the cut is only 1/8" deep and the tire is holding air just fine. Is this tire safe to continue using or should I replace the tire?

Thanks

If it was me I would replace it. The last thing you want is to be miles from home and your tire blows. Then your in trouble. Ive have had expierence what that. I was on a mud run and my right front tire blew. The guide drove it back but to ride it back he had to have it pined so the tire inflatted itself. Just my .02
