OK Boner: list all of your modifications and also the ones that you plan to do to your AC 500 in the future. I want to see how long that list is, and also if there are any ideas there that I might want to steal.

Will this list include a MAX conversion kit with optional rear Mr. **** seat?
MAX riders usually like the feel of a **** in the rear. But thats only my observation.

I jus wanted to tell you guys that I might not MAKE the rear winch kit. I just found out that Ox-lite makes a rear winch kit for quads. The MSRP IS $54.99 for the rear winch plate and they make models for Superwinch 1500. Superwinch 2000, and the Warn 2000/2500. Only problem is that it says in the book that it mounts tot the trailer hitch. I want to mount mine in th place of storage box.

Boner- your rear winch mount idea sounds ok as to mounting it in that location. I think you could easily rig something up for that place, but it would have to be made of heavier grade material, and would have to mount to the frame in a few different positions for good stability. Like a bottom plate hanging down with holes in it to mount the winch on, then a fairlead holder thing coming from underneath the plate to mount a fairlead to. If it all will fit in that spade, then it would be up and out of the way of debris and minor mud.

Well I sure read that intro title wrong.
"Boner Mods".........LOL

About the rear "winch". How about a quick change "Dual mount". Simler to a class 3 hitch on a truck.(ie -one winch/two mounts). Front and rear, And quick changeable from front to rear. Would add less weight, And cost le$$.
Just a thought.

Boner I'm not saying that this is a bad idea, but you are going to have to do a lot of rigging and it is going to be a pain in the ***. What do you even need a rear winch for anyhow? I figure you already have a front and even if you don't then why do you need a rear winch? Me personally I cant see any use for one. Like I have said before I have only had to use mine once and it was to pull one of my friends off of a couple of logs. Why pay for something that might not even work?

The only problem is that it would realy hurt m approach angles. Besides my riding buddy is tring to get rid of a superwinch 1500 with 30 feet of cable, so the rear winch is free, and it only weights like 15 lbs.
