Default AC 650 garbage

well it does seem a lil weird that he would go through that many belts, yet it is possible he does have a lemon. My buddy had a 700 sportsman and he blew a belt every 100 to 150 miles. All i know is that i have over 1100 miles on mine and she is still going good i love my machine. And meathead I do go mudding in all floating bog which is just as bad as any other mud you can encounter. Lmao ok that is very stupid and childish to argue about who has better mud.

you can say what you want about my spelling and or my grammer, but you people seem to enjoy bashing me. personally thats okay. to respond to your question about the belt, 3 were replaced prior to having a clutch kit installed (epi red and black). the bike is at the third dealer as i respond in this thread. the diff. was found to be bad from the factory, the acuator box was not sealed properly, causing it to short out. Finally, why should i have to rely on my own mech. abilities when the atv is only 5 months old with extended warr. for you people who bash me, personally it must be nice to sit so high on your thrones. for you people that have responed in a positive way i wish you well, and thank you for your input

I guess you understand that you're going to get a negative reaction from some people, when your thread calls their purchase, and decisions junk. I'm not here to bash you, I'd rather try to help you out with a solution. You are on the right track as far as seeking assistance from other dealers. Mechanical ability aside, your 2 year warranty is there for a reason. I'd be telling them not to give it back until it's fixed, and if they can't fix it, either a new machine is in order, or a refund of some sort. As you can see here, your situation is far from normal, most guys aren't having the serious problems that you are.

there is a thing called the lemon law i would call the arctic cat factory if you need i live right here and got the number in the phone book and get in touch with there warranty department and demand that they take it back or say you will buy a polaris cause the polaris factory is only about 50 miles from the arctic cat one and they will be more prompt to work with you from what i hear cause i used to know a guy that worked warranty at arctic cat

Meathead you are the one that started the bashing, I'm just defending.
I just want to know the whole story, it is neccessary in order to make an informed decission how to help.
Arctic Cat and Erlandson Performance are very reputable and knowledgable companies when it comes to the cvt transmission.
When Arctic Cat sets up a clutch for a certain machines they do so for the masses (the average joe)
If the set up does not meet your needs you have the right to alter (which is what you did when you called EPI)
After market companies will design a couple different clutch set ups (normally they will have one for stock machines that is more performance minded and loads the motor faster or they will have a set up for big wheel kits which goes the otherway, it doesn't upshift as fast allowing the engine RPM's to rise faster)
It is possible that aftermarket designs may not meet your needs. You are running big wheels and in very heavy mud which is going to load the motor more than normal.
Arctic Cat is not going to make a clutch set up per individual needs so you have two choices, you can go to the aftermarket and ask for more help or you can pick up a book and learn how to set up your own clutches.
You still haven't answered who installed the clutch kit and the new belts. There is the possibility that something didn't get put back together right and is out of alignment.
One more thing the warrenty is there for manufacture defects not free service.

Wookie
My 650 is totally stock with 700 miles on it. I would like to mod it to get better acceleration. Would you post all your mods here so I can do mine?
