Tires for a 500 ??
#1
My buddy is ready for new tires and likes my Mudlites but doesnt want to go " down " to a 10-12 from the stock 11-12 size in the rear. He would like a six ply but a 4 ply will do if that is all that is available. His use will be, in order of time spent on each, hardpack, mud, and rocks. What are you guys with 500s using and in what size ? Many thanks in advance for any help.

I was in the same quary, the stockers on my AC500 are fronts=25-8-12, rears 25-11-12. to stay stock the fronts were no problem, but finding something in the 25-11-12 wasn't happen. Look on a site "www.powerdog.com" and there is a comparison chart. After looking there I found out the 25-10-12 are only 0.1" smaller in circumfrance and the radius is the same 6.1". Take a look see, it helped me make the decision.

I replaced my Badlands with ITP 589's, 26x12x12 rears and 26x9x12 on the front and what an improvement in ride. I ride through a lot of creeks and crawl over two foot limestone ledges with ease, and it's amazing how they pull the bike though mud! The bike corners like it's on rails and the ITP's are six ply.
