Last weekend I was riding in the desert and when I was going in slight down hill (maybe 10 m/h) I felt some noise and I was loosing control and saw my wheel rolling infront of me.......
I was thrown off the ATV and hurt my hand. I saw that the shaft just shear.
It was a scary experience and if I was driving a little faster I probably wouldn't be on the forum now.
I think I saw in the past somebody that had a similar problem I appreciate if somebody can direct me to the article or if somebodt had the same problem on his 650.
I also would appreciate any advice.

avig when you say the shaft broke you mean the one coming off the rear diff. that has the cv boots on it?or where the arms meet and attach by hub.?

The wheel is connected by 4 screws to plate that connected to shaft. this shaft broke/sheared about one inch from the plate.

purple mountain on highlifter just had the same problem it sheared off just at the end of the spline where they thread the axle for the hub his just turned 1300 or 1400 miles sounds like this could be a issue
