Default Adjusting the timing

Is their anyway to adjust the timing on a 04 400 manual?. I took a peek behind the manual starter nothing there. Kinda wondering if their is an adjustment at all. Also, pulled the spark plug man that thing is small!!

Offset key might be possible but the last I new there wasn't anyway you could actually adjust the time, the shop manual for the 98 400 I have says also says its not adjustable, the key worked on my ZRT600 though.

I believe the CDI sets the timing and it cannot be adjusted just replaced.

Default Adjusting the timing

The only way to change the timing is to move the pickup sensor or flywheel because the timing advance is electroniclly controlled from the switch box(ignition module if you prefer). Just not worth the effort when you can buy an after market box that does it for you.
