Cattleman, I would already have pictures but it started raining on tuesday and has just gotten worse today. Maybe by friday it will break enough to get The "Red Brute" out and do a little running and get some pics. I installed the winch yesterday afternoon, a snap by the way, only hard part was geting all the panels back on.

First pic on the "Red Brute" (think I will name it "Bubba") in my pics. The whole family went out yesterday together (a first as usually someone is doing something else). Me on the 400, the wife on the 250 and the 19 year old daughter on her Honda XR100R. Covered a few miles and had a great time. It didn't even rain until we were loaded up and getting in the truck to come home. Only had one problem, the batteries in the camera died and we didn't bring any spares. New batteries in camera ready for next trip, maybe tomorrow.

400i is probably the best value in a 4x4 quad. Good engine, good body setup with great suspension and ground clearance, good brakes and a locker. Just so much more options that you get compared to everyone elses 400 class machine. Good choice.

Went for another ride this afternoon with my bubby with his Polaris 325 Trail Boss. We covered about 15 miles in 1 1/2 hours. Mostly abandoned logging roads and skidder trails. Several pretty steep hills too, up and down. Never out of 2 wheel drive and only in low range once. He got hung on a small log and I had to stop on the hill. I am impressed with the 400 and now understand why it is Arctic Cat's best selling model. The wife is off tomorrow and it ain't suppose to rain, so if I'm good I will get to ride again.

Well, we went and we rode but the weather sucked as the clouds kept stacking against the mountains and made it a bit cool. Was just above freezing when we started out and got clear up to 40 degrees by the end of 10 miles in, lunch and 10 miles back out. Was fun though and she got some seat time and at the play area where we had lunch she even did a couple of the smaller hills. Neither of us tried the big one, even though I've done it with the 250 before. Still not totally comfortable with the 400 yet. I have noticed that it doesn't roll thru the hole and ruts as easily as the 250. The steering is also heavier. Then again the 250 is a h*ll of a lot light in the front end.
