I have an 03' 500i Auto 4x4, do any of you know what type of headlight bulb these take?

I can't remember the exact bulb size. But, in an 2002 AC 500i, it's a standard 12V automotive bulb. Here's a cut / paste I did in a previous post:

To make factory high beam brighter....
- Leave low beam bulb as factory.
- Replace both factory 27W high beam with 50w bulb (from most auto parts store)
- Factory wiring, charging system and fuse will handle 50W bulb upgrades.
- Apply dielectric grease inside the light socket and within plug connectors.
- Apply thin layer of outdoor Silicone around external light socket to keep out water.

As a suggestion, remove your current blown head light bulb and take it to your local automotive store. UAP/NAPA store is a great place as well. Show them your bulb and ask for a higher wattage replacement.

If necessary, put the 27W bulbs in your low beam sockets and the higher wattage bulbs in your high beam sockets. If wondering, I did this upgrade to our '02 AC 500i. Best upgrade I've done to it.
