Default jet sizing for airbox mod

what jet size seems to give u the best power after u did the airbox mod with the radiator hose? I am also planning on getting the highlifter module but i dont think that would affect jetting. What kind of pipe would you reccomend for a 04 650?

These subjects are currently running on www.arcticchat.com come have a look-see.

I have just modded my air-box with the VDI snorkle, they reccomend 142 front and 147 rear for under 1600 feet, with one shim under the needles.
This is what I did today,I am waiting on my rear jet to finish up,should be here tomorrow.(yeah, right)
I would save the coin and mod your exhaust, just my two cents though.

The air intake is WAY different on the 05's compared to the 04's. I don't think one is available for the 05's yet. I have seen someone over at Highlifter with pics of a 05 snorkel, if your interested

that would be one hll of a module to get a 400 to keep up with a 650, i havent seen a 650 run yet but how fast will they go ??? my 400 tops out bout 57 mph roughly. so highlifter is working on snorkles now ??? for a '05 400 ? hmmm unno iam in the process of custom fabing skid plates , cv boot gaurds, mud flaps, and a air box. what do you guys know about a '05 400 carb. ? i know what kinda it is and all but if i order 1 of the many jet kits floating around will it help any ?? like noticable ??? and / or is it possible to swamp my carb. for 1 from a 650 ?? or will that be to much fuel and air flow ??

Ok here goes, First why custom fab when you can just buy and install boot guards (mine as them sort of), mud flaps (also has them) and I don't know about yours but my 400 has full length skid plates from the factory. The carb is a Keihin CVK34, which is bigger than Suzuki runs on their 400. Would it help? I would say yes, at least Highlifter shows a dyno comparision that shows a bit over a 1 horsepower gain. Of course that's with the air filter kit too. It is to bad no one makes a module for the 400, it is AC's best selling model.

i love my 400, one heck of a machine. That things been through some nasty situations and keeps on chugging. Ive hit 55 with my 400 and 60 with my 650 but it still felt strong and i ran out of room. it would be really nice to see more upgrades for the 400 out there, its a great machine. Keeps up well with my uncles 04 500, and then theres my 650, dont even compare
