What did AC do for you guys with broken frames?

Do you ride at Windrock? I was there this past week. I have a 650 and was talking with a guy on the trails and he said that he had 3 friends that all had a broken frame on the 650's. Said that Arctic Cat engineers came down and rode at Windrock, said that they weren't having a problem like that anywhere else and wanted to see if they could understand what was going on. I hadn't heard of this until this past week. He said that Arctic Cat gave those 3 new 2005 500's in place of their 2004 650's. This is just what a guy on the trail told me. Sort of worrys me though.

I am not saying that I know this for a fact. The guy I talked with was a local and he said the guys were friends of his and that is what Arctic Cat did for them. Said all three frames broke in the same area, where the gas tank would be on most quads. Guess he could have been lying but don't know why he would. Said the engineers could not understand why most of their frame problems had came from this area.

I've ridden my 650 at Windrock 3 times and have no cracking of any kind. Maybe they had bad welds or some peculiar defect that caused undo stress in that area.
When you make as many machines as that, a few are going to have strange issues. I had a Nitro bass boat that was replaced due to major hull defects. The engineers told me that they had never seen that problem, and I didn't do anything unusual with my boat. They gave me a new one, which was actually a bigger and better boat, because they no longer made the other model. (It was 5 years later).

Me and a friend bought our 650's the same day in March 04. We both do 99 % of our riding at the same place (Tower City, PA). He has 2 cracks in his frame under the seat by the battery, mine is fine so far. He is waiting to see what the dealer and AC are going to do.
