HELP! 2003 Arctic Cat 500 w/ ITP 589's and Type 5 wheels
weez440 you said "put the lugs on so the flat end is facing towards the rims" I thought that the flat end is suposted to be on the out side. Why would it make a dif. if you did it the other way? Dont you run the risk of have the wheels be off center of the axle? I dont have a clue and was just trying to look at the logic of why they would lock on. The log nuts are like car lug nuts right?

I think you did it right weez. The tapered end does go toward the rim. I think the other two guys are right about that being how the rims get centered on the lugs. That's how it's done with cars and trucks anyway, and I can't see doing any different on quads.
