05 LE 400 and price
#2
I am not sure about the different features of the LE. But, when I purchased my 2003 AC 400 manual Tran with the MRP racks and the 2500lb Warn Winch it cost me $4900 OTD with no taxes (not a resident of WA). In comparison, I know the Auto version of what I was looking at was $500 more.
So with the LE package (don't know what's in that other than the letters), the front Diff locker, MRP racks, inflation and taxes $6399 sounds about right. If its your first quad make sure you ask about a Free helmet (some dealers do this some don't) and the free ATV safety classes as taking this class for a few hours put $200 back into my pocket.
Hope this helps

Sounds good to me. Here in Nevada I've seen a '05 400 4x4 IRS 5spd manual for $6150 otd and a '05 400 4x4 auto on sale for $5399 (+tax and title, etc). Dealers say the "LE" is usually $600-700 more. I think you did good.

In KY you can get a 05 500 Auto for 5999.
I'd skip the LE and get the 69 dollar winch deal then buy the Front LE style bumper for 150 bucks. Then you have the look without the price. The shiny wheels are kind of silly in my opinion. If you ride it like I do, the chrome is gonna look like heck after a few months.
IMHO though

Me too about the wheels, this one was for my brother-in-law, It was fully equip'd: MRP, winch, chrome wheels, and f/b bumpers.
I felt like I got'em him a good deal. I'm from S. Illinois and couldn't find anything cheaper in Eastern Mo and S. Ill.
Looking on getitng a King Quad 700 for my 3rd ATV...wish AC had OEM stainless mufflers...nothing else to complain about though...AC's are superior in suspension...

I am not sure its great, but it might be the price you have to pay for that ride.
price the stock 400 plus bumpers, winch and wheels (minus whatever you think the stock rims are worth) and remember usually there are winch deals so it can be had for around $69.
I was considering that machine, but opted for the regular '05 500 auto... which was only 200 more than the 400 LE.
