My buddy has a pretty new 05 500 auto. He got new tires saturday, 27 inch mudlights, when we first put the tires on he was running a top speed of about 55. We went mudding all night, his bike is a bonafied beast now, but after about 4 or 5 hours of riding he noticed his top speed was about 39, the bike accelerates from a dead stop very well, even turns over the tires, . so we dont think the belt is the problem. I tell him to wait until Sunday "today" and try the bike again. He calls me a while ago and tells me he can only run35, but it gets there real fast. Has anyone had a problem like this?

 

It is stuck in low range.
