Default AC 650 Multi-Rider

Ok, here comes my monkey wrench. My wife and I rode two up all of last year on our 2001 AC250 2X4. You may not be aware but the 250 engine/tranny/differential are all one piece so the weight bias is very rearward. The engine cylinder is under the rear of the seat. The 2X4 also has no front axle which makes it worse. In my pictures, #6 and #7 show the foot pegs, I am no light weight at 270 and the wife was over 160 then. We rode trails, roads and even climbed so hills, actually we live on a very steel hill and it climbed that everytime we rode from the house. I didn't try any fast manuvering or racing turns and never really had any problems. Yes, it was light in front, but never caused a problem on the trails and we rode Eas Fort Rock OHV Area in central Oregon SW of Bend. The area is from 4,400 ft to 6,500 ft and 318 miles of trails, we even cheated outside the OHV area and rode in to Newberry Caldera, pass altitude was 7,000 ft on the GPS, again no problems. Never felt like it would go over backward or roll over, then again I am very conscious for the terrain around me and plan ahead for forseeable problems and am never in a hurry when two up. Just my two cents.

Bear you crazy dude

I’ve been to mountain top and came tumbling down broke my crown and Gail came tumbling after. Almost lost her too.
Moral of the story Big Bears move way faster than it appears .
I don’t think that made much sense but I have the lump on my hear. That proves I know what I’m talking about.
We’re 4ATVing to Lakeside for lunch today.

Crazy; that's one of the nicer things I've been called. Probably true to. But I have survived a long time and learned when to be extra careful and also fast isn't of interest to me much any more. I've been very really fast before. I didn't up grade to the 400 from the 250 for speed but for the locker, the auto choke and the little extra ground clearance.
Seems like if I need 4X4, I need the locker, so the 250 trained me well.
