Very happy with them we have rode the 04 & 05 models power is ok but mods need to be done to keep up with sportsman 800, we had our stock 04 go 57.02 in a 12 sec. run I think you can get at least 60 out of them in stock form though.

I think about 62-65mph, right in that area. Not quitw sure because I never ride that fast. I am mostly on tight trails and mud(or water).
This atv is awesome so far. I just bought a few weeks ago. The details that AC puts into their machines is unbelievable.

when mine was bone stock i hit 68 out of it a couple times but it would usually average about 65 and i am happy with mine except the clutching but they fixed that for 05.

63 for me with a very slight headwind on a paved road and on a very hot evening (90 degrees) I know in the winter, I've seen at least 65mph.

kawi sent the motor/tranny to arctic cat with the belt set at the loosest setting. well everyone on the 04 650's have been and i am still cussing the belt deflection, i gotta take it apart 1 more time then i should have it set FINALLY. but thanx to this and limp mode we had problems with on the 04 i now absolutely hate kawasaki and my next fourwheeler if i buy a fourwheeler and not a side by side will be the 650 H1 i am so p.o.ed at kawi that i don't care what hardcore faithful kawasaki guy comes on here and trys to tell me off anymore.

One of the big differences that I noticed is that the Kawi vtwins are geared at a 4/1 ratio in the axles and the A/C are geared at 3.6/1. They just changed this for the 06 models. I just bought my 05 3 weeks ago. This would definitly cause belt probs. I had a prairie 700 with 27 mudrunners and never had one prob with the belt. Everything else on the bike had probs though.

By the way I just ordered clutch springs for the 650. I got the red secondary and the maroon primary. I will have to give a ride report when I go riding next.I dont really care about top end, just want the belt to be reliable in mud.

i put the pink primary and black secondary springs in my clutch and removed a shim out of the secondary clutch and i have a brand new belt in it and it is still loose. so i got some advice from my top dawg bear to roughen up the clutch just slightly and well i think i am gonna remove the other shim to see what happens. am not happy with the clutch AT ALL love the atv but hate the clutching and the limp mode with a passion and i believe the dynatek cdi does for the 05's and it does with the 04's and gives you power and takes care of the limp mode so get it trust me. they say when limp mode works how it is supposed to it is a good feature i feel that if limp mode works at all it is a crappy design and i wanna strangle the guy who came up with this lamebrain idea.
