Whats Up All, I am looking to buy a used 4 wheeler for my 10 yr. old son here w/in the next 2 weeks and for $2200.00 I can get a AC 300 from a local ATV shop. I am looking to spend no more than $2400. It has new tires , winch and appears to be in good shape. Can anyone let me know if this is a reasonable deal for this ATV and anything I should know before buying it so I don't get screwed being I don't know much bout ATVS?? Thanks All!!

Depends on how big your 10 year old is. The 300 is a pretty big machine for most kids. My wife, who is 5' 4" rides a 250 (same frame as a 300) but I had to install different handle bars (more roll back) as she couldn't reach the shifter properly if she sat where the bars were comfortable. I suggest you have him take a test ride and you watch closely to see if he can handle the machine. Don't believe him, he will tell you anything to get it.

The he shouldn't have much problem with the 300. They work well on the trails. My wife has gone everywhere I have gone on my 400i 4X4 on her 250 2X4. Well everywhere I've had to winch, she has too, but then both of us are safety concsious. She does like to work when shes off, she's a para-medic.
