Default Steering issues ?

I've been shopping for a new ATV (600 class) and have read some tests and they have mentioned jerky steering at higher speeds and when hitting rocks etc. on the AC. Does anyone know if this is a problem on the 2005+ models or could it just be a byproduct of the longer travel suspension? The tests I have read didn't have an answer for it. Is it really that bad?

It's a problem with any 5 psi tire at high speed, not just AC. Why do people think that an off road vehicle made for trail riding, rough country, rock crawling, etc will run as fast as a car down the freeway without some adverse conditions jumping out to bite them.

i have driven everything out there and i have never noticed any problems with the steering on the cat. but then again people need things to complain about. i dunno if they think they are harder steering then the others or people just need to build up a lil arm strength but it isn't that bad.

Thanks guy's,
I found another article on an older model(?) and they mentioned that the steering geometry was designed to lighten the steering at slow speeds but tended to make it more jittery at higher speeds. I guess that would do it. I'm really not concerned since I will be mostly cruising slow but I also didn't want it to be a slower speed problem either.

My 05 650v2 handles rock solid at high speed, gravel or paved. My buddies Grizz freaks me out a little at high speeds, that thing is all over the place.
