Thinking of getting the AC250 4x4 for the wife. I can get it for $4250.00 from local dealer. Anybody have any exp. with this bike? Should I go with the 300 instead? If you know what prices are going at your local dealer please post them.

250 is fine, 300 is better.

If you do get the 250 order (or make) the front differential linkage from a 300 model so she will have either 2wd/4wd or 4wd/locked (depending on how you adjust the front differential).

Not to burst any bubbles, but I just read the article in ATV Action mag. about the 250 and it appears that that little thumper is to manuver around a 600lb. machine!!! I know they said there is a three-way range selector that really helps with torque (in low-range ofcourse), but they also said that it couldn't hardly get enough power from the motor in the high-range to use 4th gear and up on any thung that wasn't down hill. Also they said not only is there no "markings" on the selector to indicate what range your in, they sometimes had to dismount the machine to operate the range selector.
I would reccomend the extra bucks for a 300cc.

I have a 300 Cat & 250 Suz the power difference is VERY minimal. But I'd go for the 300 to get the larger tires, & diff selector.

The 300 4x4 will cost about $500.00 more than the 250, but will give you several things that you will like. 1-Start in gear feature. 2-gear position indicators. 3-Speedometer/odometer. 4-Selectable 4wd. 5. Larger tires. 6-Fender extentions.
