It seems like a pretty good price. They vary by a couple of hundred dollars from here to there though. Seems to be pretty regional. I don't think you'll be a bit upset with your purchase. I love my TRV. Very sweet and stable ride.

i will tell you that is a great price and you will love the bike it is a great time when your on a ride with your spouse and you can talk during the ride and switch places if things happen or you just get tired my 06 is great, lime green and my 03 is mountain green. i do ride my 03 more because of the tires (maxis bighorns) and the winch for now it has to stay stock(no $ left) i paid $7800.00 otd i dont know what your taxs are but check i diffrent countys there could be some diffrence with the taxs my dealer wanted $8000.00 otd but i told hime i was willing to take my money and a nice drive to save 200.00 bucks.

thanks 4x4ff,
I don't know much about ac but, what i read on this site everybody loves them.
I was going to buy a rhino with all my accessories and it would of cost me close to 14k.
plus it is to wide for some of the trails i will be exploring.
I could almost buy two trv's for that price.
thanks,
ray

Beanhead -
We have 900+ miles on our first 2003 TRV and I used the 2nd 2004 one this weekend all rigged with MRP accessories for deer hunting. It went only 12 miles but those were some very very tough miles. We ride here in MInnesota and go out to Montana to ride in the Rockies every year or so. This weekend there was 5 inches of snow in south eastern minnesota and the other guys had to put chains on to make it up the same hills I was going up with authority. Tire tread might have been one factor (one was a new 650) but I think the longer wheelbase better distributes the weight more evenly on the TRV and god knows it helps keep the front wheels on the ground. Some of those hills were 150 foot runs that would climb 80 feet or so. Real over the handlebars rugged stuff. We liked our TRV so much we bought the 2nd just for friends and family to enjoy the more casual 2up trail riding. Yesterday I hauled one mans son up the bluff as his SRQ (single rider quad) wouldnt traverse the hillside without sliding but the TRV was the right machine for that job. On the TRV the pax can help lean uphill and that makes a world of difference.
This year I made my own crossbow holder that attaches to the std. MRP gear cradle with a handfull of tie-wraps. That has worked perfectly.
Tonight I started mounting the Rapid Fish Shack I picked up on Ebay - the ice here is just about thick enough to support a quad. Should be fine by Saturday. These TRV's are awesome machines and I can't say enough good things about them.
Do take it easy for the first 100 miles and get good and comfortable with the machine. If this is your first big heavy quad you may find it more comfortable to stay on realitively moderate or easy trails for a while when you have a new driver and a pax. And one word of advise - you will keep your riding partner for a much longer time if you dont' scare the crappola out of her on the first rides. All it takes is one tumble and you may very well be riding alone for a long long time. These things are very heavy. If caught under it there is little hope to free yourself without help - tip one on its side and you will learn to never do that again.
Good luck with your new TRV. Ride safe.

I p/u my 2006 red trv 500 and a friend p/u his green trv for $7200 o.t.d.we recieved a $100 discount for buying 2 atv at the same time.I really like my new trv.I have 144 mi. on it already and it is the perfect machine for two-up riding.I had a problem with the fuel line pushed to far on elbow coming out of carb. and was leaking fuel.I used some pliers to hold clip on end of fuel line and pulled it back to end of lip on elbow. The leak was stopped so, we could finish our ride. The left side of engine puts out alot of heat by my leg.I was wondering if anybody else has this problem? The only other thing that concerns me is the screen under air filter has holes up to post that hold filter in place. The filter has a small gap on side of post and worried about dust getting in gap.I put some grease around top of post to keep anything out.
