I have a 2000 400 4x4 Artic Cat. I want to put 27 inch Mud bug tires on it but I dont know how much it will effect the gearing on it? Can anyone tell me how much it would effect it? I would still like to trail ride it in high gear but I dont know if I can. Thank you

Phillip

I know a guy that had 27" Bi/Tri-Claws on his 400 Arctic Cat but he sold the rear Tri-Claws and bought some Bi-Claws for the rear also cause of the power lose.

I would go with 26" Mud Bugs if you want to keep most of your low end grunt, but I do THINK you will be able to pull the 27" Bugs.

If you ride in very thick mud or in hills go with the smaller tires, but if you ride on mostly hard pack, not very steep hills, and very thin mud you will probaly like the 27" tires better.

Keep them the same height. No problem. You can pull them. Too many people have heavy 27" Vampires on Big Bear 350's and stuff, so I don't see you having any problem with MudBugs on a 400AC.
