BUSH WINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure glad I live in Utah. Some of the stuff that goes on here might be a little backwards but atleast most people voted for President Elect Bush ( Keeping my fingers crossed ! ) I cannot for the life me understand how people are willing to sell out the constitution and our freedoms, in the hopes that Gore can maintain a strong economy. I was up until 3:00 this morning watching the whole circus unfold and the whole thing really makes me loose faith in the majority of the people in our once great nation. This whole election ordeal really makes me wonder where our country is headed. I have four kids and I worry about what they are going to have to face in the future. If Gore happens to get into office and with the Supreme court seats that are going to become vacant in the next few years, we could face the possibilities of: Land closures, same sex marriages, gun registration or outright confiscation, the abortion issues are sure to heat up, even the constituiton could be deemed null and void by the supreme court. I sure hope that I'm just paronoid, not so much on my behalf but for those that will have to endure whatever the future holds. I sure hope that people won't stand by idly and watch our rights and freedoms being taken away. Sorry for ranting but this whole mess has me highly concerned.

People are voting their pocket books first, its kinda like you know,(Greed). They are willing to throw all their rights away for an economy that is going down, by the way. Forget all morals and decency who cares just so the economy is doing well. What they don't understand their children will pay for it later. The poor really believe that Gore is their to help them, how foolish to think that. Clinton had 8 years to help them, I did not see any help at all, if anything they are worse off. How do I know? My parents live on $700.00 a month Social security and cannot get any of their medicines paid for, even after 8 years of false promises by Clinton/Gore. Oh, but they still believe in that lying liberal. They are so good for the old people and the poor, yea right! For all you Gore voters read up.

Couldn't agree more. And, to answer your question, I don't know what else we could have done. I'm a member of both the NRA & BRC myself, try to do my part as a voter, try to help get the facts strait, but when it comes down to it, what else is there? We've done all we can I think. Lets just hope for the best I guess, keep fighting for what we believe, hopefully it will pay off in the long run.

You raise some good points, both here, and in the other forum concerning the union members-nice job. Please excuse my failing memory of our own U.S. History. I seem to remember Long, though can not place him. Could you elaborate a bit?, Maybe even just who won, then I should remember for sure (I hope anyway!).

I'm with ya for sure, just wish there were a few more of us out there-somewhere. I must say though, even though it has been a complete circus as of yet, I was thrilled to see Bush take Gore's home state, as well as Clinton's, that was great! Granted, the electoral votes may not have been the greatest, but it was more of a kick in the butt to both Clinton and Gore, I think. Glad to see it.
Waco:
Thanks for the first hand knowledge of Bush, was a bit of a refreshing change to hear. Nice to know he's got the atv's and Gators as well on the ranch-kind of gives a new spark of hope, ya know.
While it is still winding down, there is still hope,
Mike
